"Charlotte is so brilliant with writers. She is gentle and kind and her methods are incredibly effective"

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte Thompson writes for TV, Radio (BBC Radio 3 and 4) and Theatre. Her dramatic writing crosses over with prose fiction and like most writers, she is obsessed with narrative form. So much so, she completed her PhD in this in 2011.

Alongside her writing, Charlotte is a senior lecturer at Middlesex University, London. She has been teaching Creative Writing programmes and short courses for 15 years, and spent 3 years as Writer in Residence at a high security prison, developing poetry and fiction workshops.

Charlotte mentors new writers as well as those already established in their writing career. She gives individual consultation advice on a wide range of writing projects, depending on the writer’s needs.

Charlotte's TV series MERCURY JONES is currently in development. She has written for BBC Radio 3 and 4, and the Soho Theatre, and is currently working on a novel. The stories she tells scratch away at the underbelly of things, and throw surprising characters into relief.

She is represented by Nick Quinn at The Agency.
